Updated Locations for HEOA Hearings

This week's opening of hearings for HEOA—Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008—is on schedule for Friday, September 19, at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Forth Worth, Texas. The TCU location is the Brown-Lupton University Union. Locations for all 6 hearings are now posted at a dedicated Dept of Ed web page. The list conveniently includes map links.

The hearings are precursor to the standard negotiated rulemaking that accompanies the long-awaited legislation. At the public meetings, anyone can request a short speaking time; sign up for that at start of day. The Department will also accept written comments up to 8 October 2008.
