High response made Military Advanced Education and its parent company KMI Media Group double its list of "Top Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities" for 2008. (The list is now doubled, from 30 to 60 institutions.) Selections were made by an independent panel.
The magazine's "Top 20" also had to expand, to 22:

This is a great list of schools - Hot thrilling is it that there are a number of DETC schools on this list? DETC is the gold standard of distance education accreditation, and this list is another example of the high quality of the DETC member's programs.

Remember that the U.S. Department of Education views regionally and nationally accredited schools as equal. Regardless, Regionally Accredited schools have far more distance learning programs than Nationally Accredited schools. There many distance learning programs at Regionally Accredited schools that have professional accreditation as well. DETC may accredit schools that offer distance learning programs. However, that does not make DETC the gold standard accreditor of distance education.
